Jean-François Clouet is not your typical winemaker. He is a flamboyant eccentric, a historian, and the self-proclaimed "Sheriff of Bouzy." His family has lived in the village since 1492, serving as printers to the Royal Court of Louis XV. While the big corporate houses blend grapes from hundreds of vineyards to create a standardized product, Jean-François is obsessed with the singular character of his ancestral land. He works his 8 hectares of Grand Cru vines like a garden, crafting wines that are explosive, distinct, and dripping with personality.
This Rosé is his calling card. It is made by blending his own famous Bouzy Rouge (still red wine) into the cuvée, a technique that gives the wine its striking deep pink hue and incredible depth. This is not a shy, watery wine; it is a "gastronomic" Rosé, packed with layers of fruit and chalky structure that only the Pinot Noir from this specific village can deliver.
