Gravelly Premier Cru from the Vosne border

Measuring just 0.21 hectares, these ancient vines yield under a thousand bottles annually for the entire world.
Murger is the local word for a heap of stone—piles cleared out of the rows by hand over centuries. Beneath those rocky borders sits a gentle, east-facing slope of clay and limestone. Positioned right on the border between Nuits-Saint-Georges and Vosne-Romanée, directly below La Richemone and just south of Les Boudots, this parcel ripens earlier than any other site the estate farms.
The result is not a light or delicate wine. It is broad, black-fruited, and powerful, marrying the plush tannins and weight of Nuits-Saint-Georges with the aromatic, spice-driven lift of neighboring Vosne. Hand-harvested and aged in French oak, this ultra-limited Premier Cru is built for long cellaring.
