In Detail

A towering, old-vine masterpiece from the legendary hill of Corton

When collectors hunt for the absolute pinnacle of White Burgundy, all roads lead to Corton-Charlemagne. Bearing the name of the legendary Emperor Charlemagne, this majestic hillside terroir produces some of the most powerful, long-lived, and intensely mineral Chardonnay on the planet.

Founded in 1877, Remoissenet Père & Fils is a definitive source for elite, classically tailored Burgundy. For this Grand Cru release, they source fruit from southwest-facing 40-to-60-year-old vines deeply rooted in white clay and limestone marl. In the cellar, the winemaking is fiercely traditional: hand-harvested clusters are pressed whole, fermented purely on indigenous yeasts, and aged in custom 342-liter French oak casks. The incredibly low-yielding 2021 vintage amplified this terroir even further, resulting in a wine of remarkable breadth, concentrated density, and chalky tension.

Because 2021 production was so scarce, allocations of this Grand Cru are virtually non-existent. While major retailers are currently asking $475 for this exact bottle, we have secured a pristine allocation to offer at $350—the absolute lowest price in the US. Secure your bottles immediately before our limited inventory vanishes.
