Pierre-Vincent (PVG) is a phenomenon. The son of legend Vincent Girardin, he didn't just inherit a legacy; he reinvented it. At barely 25 years old, he has already established a signature style that defines the "New Burgundy"—wines of electric tension, purity, and "noble reduction" that reject the heavy oak of the past. He commissioned custom 454L barrels (distinctly larger than the standard 228L) from François Frères just to ensure his wines retain their razor-sharp energy.
The 2021 vintage was a heartbreaker for yields but a triumph for style, producing wines of ethereal, silky transparency that purists adore. Aux Champs Perdrix (The Partridge Fields) is the perfect match for this vintage. Perched high on the slope looking down on the Grands Crus, its thin, rocky soil produces a wine with the aromatics of a Grand Cru but the nerve of a high-altitude site.
