Tasting notes
Aroma
Radiantly aromatic right out of the bottle, offering ripe lemon zest, white peach, and orange blossom before opening into wild Mediterranean thyme, honeysuckle, and crushed volcanic flint.
Palate
Chiseled and energetic on the entry. Concentrated citrus and white fruit collide with electric acidity, volcanic mineral tension, and a long, spice-laced finish.

In Detail
A scarce 2,000-bottle allocation from 90-year-old bush vines on Mount Etna
This is an ultra-scarce allocation of 'Il Bianco' from Mirella Buscemi—one of Mount Etna’s most singular, micro-scale artisanal producers. Sourced entirely from Contrada Tartaraci near Bronte on Etna's extreme northwestern flank, these ancient 90-year-old albarello bush vines sit at a staggering 1,000 meters above sea level, making it one of the highest-elevation vineyards anywhere in Europe.
Dating back to an historic estate granted to British Admiral Nelson in 1799, this extreme north-facing plot is co-planted to 70 percent Carricante and 30 percent Grecanico. In this high-altitude alpine-volcanic climate, cool night winds delay harvest into late October, allowing the grapes to build immense aromatic depth while locking in razor-sharp natural acidity.
Crafted by Mirella Buscemi and fermented in large oak tonneaux with wild yeasts, the 2021 vintage yields less than 2,000 bottles worldwide. Combining electric citrus tension with volcanic power and a rich, textured palate, this rare bottle delivers Etna white wine at its most uncorrupted and heroic.
