In Detail

The legendary De Montille team brings their Grand Cru expertise to the limestone hills of Rully

This is how you drink like a Burgundian aristocrat without spending like one. Crafted by the exact same team responsible for Domaine de Montille’s legendary Volnays and Pulignys, this Rully Blanc offers the estate's signature "high-tension" style for a fraction of the usual cost. While the label says "Maison," the philosophy is 100% "Domaine"—winemaker Brian Sieve applies the same rigorous standards, native yeast fermentations, and careful oak aging to this humble appellation as he does to his Grand Crus.

Rully is widely considered the "baby Puligny-Montrachet" of the Côte Chalonnaise due to its limestone-rich soils, and in the warm 2020 vintage, it punched well above its weight. Sieve captured the solar intensity of the year while retaining a biting, saline freshness that makes the wine snap on the palate. It is a masterclass in value, offering the polish of the Côte de Beaune without the markup.
