Tasting notes
Aroma
A kaleidoscopic, deeply perfumed nose radiating sweet black and red fruits, crushed rose petals, spicy incense, and blood orange, grounded by an earthy, tobacco-laced core.
Palate
Voluptuous, full-bodied, and utterly seamless. It coats the palate with a massive wave of dark cherry and fig, backed by perfectly integrated, fine-grained silky tannins. The finish is monumental, echoing with intricate spice, dark chocolate, and striking mineral precision.

The 2020 Château Cheval Blanc—from one of the Right Bank’s finest vintages this century—is a must-have for any serious collector.

Though Cheval Blanc is considered equal to (or greater than) the First Growths, it’s made in a fraction of the quantity of those wines. So in an all-time great vintage, you can bet that a collectible like this 2 X 100-point Cheval Blanc will climb in value.
We went big on this one, claiming more Cheval Blanc in a single pass than a top-end steakhouse goes through in a lifetime. Our price is the best you’ll see: $200+ off many of our competitors. As always, these bottles come château-direct with perfect provenance, ready for your cellar.
The Cheval Blanc property boasts three main soil types: fine-textured clay—ideal for Merlot—and fine and large gravel. That rare gravel, which is much more common on the Left Bank, is why Cheval Blanc tends to feature a comparatively large proportion of Cabernet Franc, which thrives in those soils.
The product of a hot, dry (the driest in six decades), generous vintage, the 2020 Cheval Blanc comprises 60% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. It aged for 16 months in 100% new French oak barrels, yielding a stunning wine that’s built to go the distance in the cellar.
