The 2014 vintage was a "miracle year" in Bordeaux. A cool summer frightened many producers, but a glorious, golden Indian summer in September and October saved the harvest, allowing the Cabernet Sauvignon to ripen to perfection while retaining incredible freshness. This was also one of the final vintages crafted by the late, legendary winemaker Paul Pontallier. He described the 2014 as "better balanced" than the famous 2005. It is a wine of soaring aromatics and supreme elegance—the "Margaux of Margaux."

And then there is the bottle itself. There is perhaps no wine label in the world more iconic than the cream-and-gold, neo-Palladian facade of Château Margaux. Placing this bottle on a dinner table is a statement of absolute luxury that requires no introduction.
